In this blog post, we will show you how to use each of these modules and how they can improve your project’s health.
Issues Finder
Issues Finder is a module that scans your project for various issues and problems, such as:
- Missing references throughout the whole project – both in objects and settings
- Shader compilation errors in all shader files
- Game Object Issues
- Missing components
- Missing prefabs
- Duplicate components
- Inconsistent Terrain Data
- Objects with unnamed layers
- Objects with huge world positions (> 100k on any axis)
- Project Settings Issues
- Duplicates in Tags and Layers
Some of these issues can be fixed automatically in one-by-one or batch mode. For example, you can remove missing components or prefabs, assign default layers, or reset world positions with a single click.
To use Issues, Finder, simply open the Maintainer window from Window > Code Stage > Maintainer and select the Issues Finder tab. Then click the Scan button to start scanning your project. You can also customize the scan settings by clicking the Settings button.
To remove an unused asset, you can right-click on it and select Delete or Delete All In Category. You can also select multiple assets and delete them together. You can also ignore some assets if they are needed for your project.
Project Cleaner is a great way to find and remove unused assets from your project. It can help you free up disk space and optimize your project’s loading time.

References Finder
References Finder is a module that allows you to find references to any assets in your whole project. References are links between assets that indicate how they are used or related to each other. For example, a scene may reference a prefab, a material may reference a texture, or a script may reference an asset.
Finding references can be useful for various purposes, such as:
- Finding where an asset is used in your project
- Finding dependencies of an asset
